April Six Word Photo Story Challenge “Life”
Life is all around. Just look.
This morning, as with most mornings, Liddy and I got up and have breakfast. She has her kibble and then waits patiently for me to finish my Cheerios. I always leave some in the bowl with milk for her.
Bowl cleaned; she goes out to do her business. On return, she closes the door behind her. Comes back to me. Puts her front paws on my leg. Pokes my arm with her right paw and looks me in the eye.
Next, she turns her head pointedly, looking at the empty cereal bowl on the table. She turns her head back to me and burns my brain with those big brown eyes.
Today her Jedi powers fail — I have already put the box away — but some days… well, I give in. I mean, it is hard to resist the force.
She will be twelve at the end of this month. She brings so much love and caring into our lives. To my wife and I… to us, she is life.
